Digital Innovation and Security: EXPAND’s Journey through Bootcamps and Business Testimonials

Two Bootcamps, One Direction: Protecting Data with Full Security and Innovating with Artificial Intelligence

On February 13, 2025, at A&T – Automation & Testing, two unmissable Bootcamps were held as part of EXPAND. These were intense training sessions that provided participants with concrete tools and real scenarios to tackle today’s challenges and seize tomorrow’s opportunities.

Cybersecurity: The NIS2 Directive at the Heart of the First Bootcamp

“Cybersecurity is no longer an option, but a priority.” This was the key message from the first meeting, focused on the NIS2 Directive. Massimo Centofanti, CISO of AIZOON, guided participants through a practical journey to deeply understand what the regulation entails, who it targets, and how to effectively implement it in companies. With the support of Barbara Bertoletti, businesses were able to engage with realistic scenarios and test their skills, aware that digital resilience is now a strategic lever for competitiveness.

Generative AI and Autonomous Agents: Technologies Already Changing Work

From 4:00 PM, the focus shifted to innovation with the second Bootcamp titled “From Generative AI to Autonomous Agents: Creating Value by Automating Processes”. Flavio Cerato, Manufacturing Tech Senior Specialist at Digital Factory, led a dynamic and interactive session. Participants explored advanced automation solutions, testing concrete applications that already allow for process optimization, cost reduction, and accelerated innovation.

Real Experiences and Tangible Results in the February 14 Round Table

The following day, February 14, was the turn of the round table moderated by Paolo Brizzi, Program Manager of CIM4.0 and Coordinator of EXPAND. The event opened with an overview of the initiative and its benefits for businesses, then gave voice to those who have experienced EXPAND firsthand.
