On February 12, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Conference Room 2 of A&T – Automation & Testing, the reference event for the manufacturing industry, a round table will be held on “Innovation Reloaded: European networks that enhance innovation. Operational synergies between EEN, EDIH and EU CLUSTERS to support innovative growth of enterprises”.
The meeting is designed to create a strategic discussion moment between representatives of three key networks supporting enterprises – Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) and EU Clusters – to foster mutual knowledge, share experiences and identify operational synergies capable of responding more effectively to the real needs of SMEs.
Through dialogue between the networks and comparison of their respective support tools, the round table aims to explore possible areas of collaboration and define common lines of action to support in a coordinated manner the challenges related to competitiveness, digital transition and sustainability, in line with the priorities of the new European programming. In particular, the initiative is part of the context of the new call for the renewal of the EDIH network, offering a space for reflection on the points of convergence between objectives, methodologies and tools of the three networks.
The meeting will also be an opportunity to analyze cooperation models already tested in other European countries, where integration between similar networks has strengthened the coordination of initiatives at national and regional levels. These experiences will serve as a useful reference for envisioning more mature integration strategies that can be adapted to the Italian context.
Representatives of the EEN, EDIH and EU Clusters networks will participate in the round table, together with representatives of the European Commission, with the involvement of the Directorate-General GROW and CONNECT, as well as national and European experts engaged in integration processes between innovation ecosystems.
The initiative is proposed as a first step toward defining a concrete path for strengthening cooperation between networks, both at regional and national levels, while enhancing European connections according to a hub and spoke model. An approach that can contribute to harmonizing activities, optimizing resource utilization, and offering businesses a more integrated, efficient, and easily accessible service system.
