Advanced Solutions for Large-Scale Construction Site Monitoring with Artificial Intelligence

To achieve this goal, the company has developed Geosolvo, a proprietary project that represents a synthesis of advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, and precision geodetic instrumentation. At the core of the system is Tripod-IoT, a patented technology designed to support a highly specialized AI virtual assistant.

The Tripod, with an innovative self-leveling system, enables seamless integration of total stations, 3D instruments, and autonomous mobile robots (AMR), creating a fully autonomous solution for surveying and territorial monitoring operations. This modular and intelligent architecture allows for tackling complex scenarios with high efficiency, precision, and operational continuity.

In the complex and challenging field of diagnostics on large construction sites, the company has recognized the importance of having solutions capable of ensuring solid, structured, and reliable monitoring missions, able to operate effectively both in outdoor contexts and within enclosed environments. To this end, it has placed particular emphasis on developing sustainable technologies that not only facilitate and simplify daily operations, but also significantly reduce manual, repetitive, and strenuous activities, thus improving overall efficiency and workplace safety.

Thanks to the collaboration with EDIH EXPAND partners, a Proof of Concept (PoC) for computer vision has been developed, capable of detecting and segmenting elements such as passage barriers, limitations of pedestrian or vehicular paths, as well as handling equipment like bulldozers, concrete mixers, and trucks within typical construction site operational scenarios. This PoC represents a strategic first step towards the integration of autonomous driving within the Geosolvo project. The developed object detection capabilities will allow the rover to detect obstacles along the path, dynamically adapting its trajectory and driving behavior according to the surrounding environment.

Results and Benefits

The PoC was developed and validated in real-world scenarios, demonstrating its effectiveness in the field. Its integration within the Tripod IoT system represents a key step for Monitor The Planet, which aims to revolutionize monitoring and supervision activities on construction sites through a system capable of automating inspections and independently managing survey routes.
